Marketing and Communications Executive

An exciting new position for a Marketing and Communications Executive has arisen for a growing analytical and synthesis laboratory based in Redditch, Worcestershire.

You will have responsibility for promoting science based products and analytical services to both existing and new clients, developing business opportunities and maintaining customer relations in addition to administrative tasks to support the business.

The primary role is to provide marketing and communications support to ensure delivery of the marketing plan and business growth. We are looking for someone who is looking to make their first career move and working with the Marketing Manager, take responsibility for delivery of the marketing plan. You will be hands on and involved in all aspects of marketing and supported by specialist agencies e.g., digital agency, creative agency, as required.

You will have good copywriting skills and a positive attitude and be keen to develop your marketing skills in the scientific arena.

We are seeking to recruit a candidate who will fulfil the following criteria:

    • Possesses degree level education in marketing, business or a life science discipline. You may be:
      • An experienced marketing graduate with an interest or experience of the life science sector having achieved higher qualifications in biology, biochemistry or chemistry, or
      • An experienced life science graduate with some knowledge and interest in marketing/business development.
    • Can develop strong working relationships with clients, both scientists and non-scientists
    • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Be exceptionally self-motivated, confident and possess excellent planning and organisation skills
    • Be computer proficient, confident using standard IT applications and ideally have some experience with HubSpot and Canva platforms.

You must be eligible to work in the UK on a full time, permanent basis. Please note that for compliance with the Graduate Programme offered, you must have fully graduated in 2018, 2019 or 2020 and not be on a work placement or internship as part of your ongoing university studies, and ideally you will be a current Worcestershire resident or a Graduate from the University of Worcester.
