Meet us at the second annual Plant-Based Trends and Innovations Conference
We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the second annual Plant-based Trends and Innovations Conference – Vegan, Health, Natural, Clean, taking place on 8th February 2023 in Central London.
This one-day event brings together 29 leading brands, such as Waitrose & Partners, Mondelēz International, Holland & Barrett and Burger King, and is the perfect opportunity to network and gain crucial insights into new customer trends, innovations, ingredients and technologies to create plant-based products with exciting flavours and health benefits that will appeal to the consumers.
In recent years, the rise in the number of people taking the leap towards becoming flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan has contributed to the recent boom in the plant-based market, driving food companies to innovate and create alternative products that reflect this trend. Consumers’ motivations for eating less or no animal-based products might stem from a desire for better health, to protect the environment or due to animal ethics.
Marion Peak, Managing Director at AltaBioscience, said,
“Consumer expectations regarding plant-based products are extremely high. Not only must they be nutritious, have a positive environmental impact and be kind to animals, but they must also offer the same protein content and nutritional profile, texture and taste as some meat-based products. It’s really an exciting time – the plant-based market is undergoing unprecedented levels of food innovations to respond to this change in consumer behaviours. As a food analytical testing laboratory, we are pleased to be able to support them with our amino acid analysis services.”
With engaging panels and thought-provoking talks, the Plant-Based Trends and Innovations Conference will explore how companies are overcoming these challenges when developing new products whilst trying to gain consumer trust and brand loyalty. This event will cover many exciting topics, including new customer trends & behaviours, sustainability, taste & flavour, new disruptive ingredients and technologies, clean labels, nutrition and more.
AltaBioscience, which delivers rapid amino acid analysis worldwide, has been supporting companies from the food, drink and nutraceutical industries over the last five decades with their routine testing and new product development by accurately determining the nutritional protein content and amino acid profile of new ingredients, raw materials, food and drink samples and dietary supplements. Sarah Hawker, head of the amino acid analysis section at AltaBioscience, will attend the event and would be happy to discuss how we can help you with your research projects.
